Hello, November! This is the month I slow down (just a little) and think about how grateful I am for all of you. Every time you trust us with your skin, refer a friend or send a sweet text after an appointment, it means more than you know. So this month's newsletter is packed with the things you've been asking about: when to book before Thanksgiving, what's on special right now, and a little sneak peek at something fun coming at the end of the month.

For Thanksgiving photos, do the lip filler first (by November 12) so any swelling is long gone, then come back for microneedling the following week. Your skin will be glowing by the time the turkey hits the table.
Thanksgiving Prep: Don't Wait on This One
Here's the one thing I don't want you to save for Black Friday: your Thanksgiving appointment. Thanksgiving falls on Thursday, November 26 this year, and most treatments need a little time to settle before they look their best in family photos.
According to the Cleveland Clinic, Botox and similar neurotoxins start working in about three to four days, with full results in 10 to 14 days. Filler can bring a little swelling or bruising for several days before it settles. So if you want to look refreshed around the turkey, now is the time to get on the schedule.

Treatment of the Month: SkinPen® Microneedling
Fall and winter are a wonderful time for SkinPen microneedling. You're spending less time in the sun, which makes it easier to protect your skin while it heals. Microneedling creates tiny, controlled channels in the skin that prompt your body to make fresh collagen, which helps with acne scars, fine lines, large pores and uneven texture.
It's honestly one of my personal favorites, because the results look like your skin, just smoother and brighter. Most clients are a little red for a day or two, and skin often looks brighter within a week. Collagen keeps building for weeks after that. For acne scars, the American Academy of Dermatology says you may need three to five treatments, done every two to four weeks, and that results appear gradually as your body produces collagen. Starting a series in November means you'll see real change by the new year.
