How much is lip filler?

Lip filler or lip flip?
Lip filler adds real volume and shape and usually lasts 9 to 12 months. A Botox lip flip relaxes the muscle above your upper lip so it rolls out slightly and shows more when you smile, with no added volume, and lasts 2 to 3 months. Some clients start with a lip flip, and many combine both.

Fuller lips and cheeks in two visits
Goal: She wanted fuller, more defined lips and a little more cheek structure without looking “done.”
Plan: Instead of doing everything at once, we added volume in stages with Restylane filler. At her first visit, we placed 1.5 ml in her lips and 1 ml in her cheeks. Six months later, she loved her results but wanted a little more, so at her second visit we added another half syringe.
Result: After the first visit, her lips looked hydrated and balanced, and six months later they still held their shape. After the second visit, they were fuller.
Why it matters: Building in stages lets you get used to your new look and keeps results natural. It’s how we approach most first-time lip clients.
Hair and makeup changed between visits; lip and cheek results are from filler.
Softer lip lines and natural shape for mature lips
Goal: She wanted to soften the fine lines around her mouth and restore lip shape that had thinned over time, without a “duck lip” look.
Plan: We used one syringe of Restylane filler, with small, careful placements along the lip border and body of the lip.
Result: Her lips look smoother and more defined, the vertical lip lines are softer, and her profile looks refreshed, still clearly her.
Why it matters: Lip filler isn’t just for volume. For mature lips, a light touch can smooth lines and bring back definition.
Fuller, more defined lips with a natural profile
Goal: Both patients wanted more upper-lip volume and a defined Cupid’s bow that still looked natural from the side.
Plan: One syringe of Restylane filler each, focused on the lip border and the center of the upper lip.
Result: Their lips are fuller and better balanced top to bottom, with a smooth, natural profile.

Most clients feel pressure and a little pinching. We use numbing cream, and Restylane Kysse contains lidocaine.

Swelling usually goes down in a few days, and filler fully settles in about 2 weeks.
How many syringes will I need?
Most first lip treatments use one syringe. We'll recommend an amount at your consultation and never push extra.
Will my lips look overdone?
No. We plan conservatively and can always add more at a follow-up. The goal is lips that look like yours on a good day.
How do I prepare for lip filler?
For one week before, avoid NSAIDs like ibuprofen, fish oil and high-dose vitamin E. Skip alcohol for 24 hours, and avoid dental work 2 weeks before and after. If you get cold sores, let us know ahead of time. Filler is not for anyone pregnant or nursing.
What should I do after lip filler?
Skip makeup on the lips and avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours, and don't press or massage your lips unless we tell you to. Mild swelling and bruising are normal for a few days.
